Abi is an employment specialist and experienced litigator based out of Christchurch, although she is originally from Taranaki. She lives with her husband and her dog, and enjoys a range of hobbies which mostly revolve around cooking and entertaining.
Abi works closely with small businesses to help guide and educate them on employment matters. She is known for helping businesses form proactive strategies that safeguard their business operations and mitigate risk. Prior to becoming an employment law expert, Abi worked as an insurance broker for 10 years, advising businesses on risk, and is well versed in business survival, having helped many clients navigate their loss after the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes.

My journey began in India, where I immersed myself in the world of storytelling through journalism and completed Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication. The Business Circle is a vibrant networking event designed to connect businesses from all backgrounds and industries. We foster collaboration, build relationships, and unlock new opportunities for all our members.
Currently, there are no membership fees to join The Business Circle! We offer a free and accessible platform for businesses to connect.
We do have a registration fee of $29 to cover our event costs. This fee helps us fund catering, provide gifts for our esteemed guest speakers, and supports promotions and administration of The Business Circle events.
Registration for events is easy! Simply register here and find the upcoming event you’d like to attend. Registration typically closes 3 days before the event to allow us to confirm numbers for catering. You can pay your registration fee online for your convenience.
Absolutely not! The Business Circle is a diverse and inclusive network. We welcome businesses of all backgrounds and industries to connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Our events are held every third Wednesday of the month at 11:00 AM and last for one hour. They offer a relaxed and engaging atmosphere for you to connect with other business professionals. We typically have a guest speaker, facilitated networking activities, and ample opportunity to build relationships and explore potential collaborations.
We encourage all attendees to register early as spaces are limited. We also recommend bringing plenty of business cards and an open mind for connecting with new people!
